Often likened to an “injectable moisturiser”, Profhilo stimulates collagen whilst hydrating skin for a refreshed and natural-looking glow.

Profhilo uses thermal cross-linking to stimulate four different types of collagen and elastin by the slow release of hyaluronic acid (HA), which is key to skin rejuvenation and younger-looking skin.
This stimulation both tightens and hydrates the skin and also remodels the ageing and sagging tissue. Side effects are minimised as this is a very pure product with very few additives.

And being used to treat concerns on the face and neck, Profhilo can also enhance skin quality on the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen thanks to its spreadability. Profhilo is a hugely popular injectable treatment integrated into your skin, making it look more radiant and youthful.

With an excellent safety profile, Profhilo is a quick and simple treatment that is easy to fit into your busy schedule. There’s virtually no downtime, which means you can get back to your usual activities as soon as possible.

Profhilo FAQs

1. Is this treatment suitable for me?

Most people looking to boost their skin quality are suitable for Profhilo treatment.

Beforehand, you’ll be invited to a consultation where we’ll analyse your concerns and run through the most suitable options that you could benefit from. It’s a lovely treatment to start early on as a preventive measure, but is an excellent solution for ageing skin too.

2. What happens during treatment?

Prior to your treatment day, we will conduct a detailed consultation to determine your suitability for Profhilo and inform you of what to expect.

When you then attend your appointment, we will cleanse your skin to prepare it for Profhilo, before numbing the treatment areas to reduce risk of discomfort.

Profhilo is injected into the skin in 10 points – five on either side of your face. The product spreads under the skin and, thanks to its water-loving properties, starts to hydrate from deep within. It will also stimulate collagen and elastin production to give your skin its structure and bounce back.

After two sessions spaced four weeks apart, we recommend top-up treatment every six months so that results continue to improve as new collagen develops.

3. What results can I expect from Profhilo?

You will notice a visible improvement in the hydration, tightness and texture of your skin following Profhilo treatment.

Depending on the severity of your concerns, two to three sessions are recommended, spaced four to six weeks apart.

For continuous skin improvement, Profhilo treatment is recommended every six months.

4. How is Profhilo different from hyaluronic acid dermal fillers?

Although Profhilo contains hyaluronic acid, it has a much thinner consistency, so it is better for achieving a holistic result that refreshes and rejuvenates the skin across your face and body.

If you want to replace lost volume or contour your facial features, then dermal fillers would be more suitable.

Dermal fillers are used to target specific areas of wrinkles, deep lines, or skin folds to restore the structure of the face, giving an appearance of lift and better projection. Unlike Profhilo, the thicker consistency of dermal fillers means that they stay in one spot once injected.

5. Does treatment hurt and are there any side effects?

You may feel a slight stinging, but this is manageable.

Swelling and redness around injection sites is normal after Profhilo treatment. No serious side effects have been reported. We will discuss all possible side effects during your consultation in more detail.
