Achieve a more enhanced, refined and rejuvenated appearance by restoring lost volume, and by lifting and contouring features with injectable fillers.

If you’re looking to lift, hydrate, contour or replace lost volume in your face or hands, then treatment with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers could be an excellent option for you. In particular, it’s an excellent treatment option for sagging cheeks, thin lips, nose-to-mouth lines, tired eyes, jowls, and fine lines and wrinkles.

These are the key areas that are typically associated with ageing skin, and whilst ageing is an inevitable process, dermal fillers can help boost one’s confidence with subtle changes and minimal downtime. Dr Paryani takes a ‘less is more’ approach, which means we can create a natural look that respects the individuality of your face.

Hyaluronic acid is a substance found naturally in the body that attracts water and helps hydrate and plump skin but declines with age. By using a safe synthetic version which naturally dissolves over time, we can replace lost volume and add hydration. There are lots of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers available in the UK, but only a few that have long-term proven safety and effectiveness. At Oatlands Dental Lounge, we only use products from reputable, licensed pharmacies in the UK.

Dermal Fillers FAQs

1. Is dermal filler treatment suitable for me?

Dermal filler treatment is a fantastic option for many people looking to address ageing and enhance their facial features.

To determine if it’s right for you, we’ll invite you to a consultation where we’ll ask you about what facial features you may wish to enhance or rejuvenate.

We will assess your face holistically to discover how we can achieve the most natural-looking results possible while respecting natural boundaries and your goals. If we believe that dermal filler treatment will be suitable for you, we’ll guide you through our treatment approach and your expected results. We may also present other treatment options that would suit your needs – outlining how they compare and what you should consider before making an informed decision.

2. Which areas can be treated?

Hyaluronic acid dermal filler treatment is clinically proven to be safe and effective for:

  • Sagging cheeks
  • Jowling
  • Under-eye hollows
  • Thin lips
  • Lines and wrinkles
  • Nose-to-mouth lines
  • Chin and jawline definition

3. What happens during dermal filler treatment?

Prior to dermal filler treatment your skin will be cleansed with all traces of make-up and debris removed.

We’ll numb the treatment areas with topical or local anaesthetic to reduce the risk of discomfort, recap what we plan to do throughout the procedure, ask if you have any questions and then begin the injection process.

We tailor treatments to your individual needs, so you can always expect personalised results. Our goal is always ‘less is more’ to ensure your results look as natural as possible. We will show you the results as they take effect and keep checking in with you to ensure you’re comfortable.

Depending on your concerns, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can be used to lift and revolumise sagging cheeks, reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds and marionette lines, fill hollows under the eyes and, contour heavy jawlines, plump thin lips and add overall hydration to skin.

Once the procedure is complete, we’ll remind you of how to look after the treatment area over the coming days and book your review appointment. Of course, you can always contact us if you have any questions.

4. Are there any side effects and will treatment hurt?

We use gentle techniques and can numb the area prior to injection to minimise discomfort and reduce the risk of mild bruising.

Depending on the treatment approach, you may experience some slight redness and swelling, which should only last a few hours.

All possible side effects will be outlined during your consultation.

5. Can I have other treatments alongside dermal filler?

Yes, we will often recommend a combination treatment approach to address all your skin and ageing concerns.

Procedures we may suggest include the use of Medical-grade skincare, Skinboosters, Profhilo, Anti-wrinkle injections, and Polynucleotides.
